Research into the midfoot has exploded in the last 12 years, from understanding the anatomical variations, muscle actions, and tendon involvement to a detailed understanding of osteoarthritis. In the lecture, I will present the contemporary research and new research I have undertaken using MRI scans as part of the team at the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine. This will include complex clinical cases to provide insights into the pathological process.

The workshop will complement the lecture and take a practical approach to the assessment of the midfoot joints accompanied by an open discussion about imaging and treatment approaches.
